Metrology laboratories

Our labs calibrate data loggers during the manufacturing process. Customers are invited to have their loggers calibrated or adjusted periodically or exceptionally.
We have developped the means and skills to carry out metrology operations for temperature, pressure and relative humidity.

TMI-USA laboratory is accredited in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

Calibration certificates

Each calibration or adjustment operation generates a calibration certificate which includes the collected data. Certificates issued by TMI-Orion are in compliance with norm NF X-07-012. The certificates issued by TMI-USA are in conformance with the norm ISO/IEC 17025/2017.

Metrology equipement

The set of equipment used in the lab has been selected among the most famous manufacturers. It fits the severe requirements demanded by TMI-Orion data loggers. Special tools have been designed in order to calibrate in close to customer use conditions.

The standards

The standards used to carry out the calibration operations are in compliance with our Quality Management System.
These standards are linked to the national primary standards through periodic calibration performed by COFRAC or accredited organizations that are recognized in most countries by international agreements.

TMI-Orion product specifications refer to technical terms, which are important to define.

Definitions as worded in "Fundamental standards - International vocabulary of basic and general terms in metrology" NF X 07-001.

Calibration:

Set of operations that establish, under specified conditions, the relationship between values of quantities indicated by a measuring instrument or measuring system, or values represented by a material measure or a reference material, and the corresponding values realized by standards.

Adjustment:

Operation of bringing a measuring instrument into a state of performance suitable for its use.

Uncertainty of measurement:

Parameter associated with the result of a measurement, that characterizes the dispersion of the values that could reasonably be attributed to the measurand.
